The Bully

One day Elliot went to the park with his Friend Giraffe. Elliot and Giraffe decided to go on the slides first. When they were done with that a boy older than Elliot and Giraffe asked Elliot and Giraffe if they wanted to play something. Elliot and Giraffe said okay. The boy took them to some other boys. They started pushing Elliot and Giraffe around. Elliot and Giraffe whispered that these boys are bullies. "Let go of us" said Elliot and Giraffe. Just then a boy way older than the bullies came and told them to let go of Elliot and Giraffe. "Those boys were bullying us bad" said Elliot. The boy told Elliot and Giraffe to use their brain. He continued if you two use your brain you could do anything. "Even get us like a million bucks?" asked Giraffe. "No" said the boy. "Oh I get it" said Giraffe. Elliot and Giraffe used their brain to make a costume monster. Then they put it on. Then they went to the bullies. "Aahh" said the boy who started pushing Elliot and Giraffe. Then Elliot and Giraffe took off the costume. "It was only you. Um I wasn't scared I just pretended." said the boy. Then the bullies and the boy ran away. Elliot and Giraffe started laughing.

The End

Liberty

I love visiting my hometown New York. I love the sights, the music and I just love everything about New York. I especially love the big green Statue of Liberty. I'm coming back from France because I wanted to visit my grandpa. First thing I do when I'm coming back from France is to see the Statue of Liberty. I wait for a long time. Finally I'm in New York! First I need to take a boat and wait for five to ten minutes. At last I reach Liberty Island. I walk and walk until I see the Statue of Liberty which I like to call the copper wonder. I ask if I can go inside the copper wonder. My parents say yes. A man takes us on a tour inside the copper wonder. He says the Statue of Liberty was a present from the French to us. I look and see that there are so many things that I usually don't see. Then the tour guide says that the Statue of Liberty was actually made of copper and put outside so the weather could change Liberty's color. After that he says that the document Liberty is holding is the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence that Liberty is holding says July 4th. It says July 4th because July 4th is Independence Day. "Its still a long way to the top", I say. We go up and up.We learn more new things. Finally we get to her head. I look down. "Its a really long way down",I say to myself. I finally get to the bottom of Liberty. I'm exhausted. At last I get to my house.

My Story

My name is Henry. Henry Shepard. I'm going to tell you a little story. It might be sad for some of you but for the others well not sad. This is how my story goes. One day my kids and I were sitting down by a fire. My children's names were John and Laura. Suddenly John just asked something I really did not want to tell John and Laura. John asked me about my parents. What should I have done? My parents had passed away. I told John and Laura I couldn't tell them about that.They kept on pleading. I finally said OK.

I started, "My parents and I lived in a log cabin about forty-five years ago. We lived together as a happy family. Now I'm going to tell you what we did and ate." I said, "Usually we would hunt deer or bear. Most of the time we did chores. We took water from lakes and chopped wood. Very rarely and only sometimes Indians came." "What were they like?" asked John curiously. I started again. Well at first I thought they were scary because they didn't even know English. But then my ma and pa told me they were friends. They brought corn, berries, and other things. Then I got used to them. I played with the Indian children and also the grown-ups were really nice. Then one day the Indians did not come. I was sad and worried. Then my pa came and said that the Indians had left to go to another tribe. I was sad but I got over it.

The animals outside were my friends. I played with them every day. Then one day pa was about to shoot a baby deer with his musket. I saw what he was about to do. I went to stop him. I told him not to shoot it because it was just a baby. Pa told me we needed to shoot it for food. I explained to him why he shouldn't shoot it. He finally understood. He shot a grown-up bear instead. I still thought that was sad. I finally said I was done with the story.

Laura interrupted and asked if I could finish the story. I sighed and said OK. " The next day was my birthday. My friends and relatives came. They gave me mostly money. Then I saw my grandma and grandpa. I went to them to say hi. They said sorry they didn't bring me a present. I replied they brought the best gift. Their love. They were so grateful. Soon the party was over. The next day I woke up early because I felt like it. I went to get my parents. I couldn't find them for some reason. I looked outside and couldn't belive what I was seeing! My ma and pa were lying down dead with a giant bear in front of them! I went outside as fast as I could, but I was too late. The bear was gone. My parents were dead. I started crying. This was all my fault. If only I had woken up earlier my parents would have still been alive.

I ran to my grandparent's house. I explained to them what had happened. They looked very sad. I told them it was all my fault. If only I had woken up earlier. My grandma said it was not my fault and my grandma and grandpa would raise me for a while. Years passed. "That's how I'm here," I said. "You must have been really sad" said John and Laura at the same time. "Well people have to go through these things" I said. So that's the end of my story. Like I said people have to go through these things.

IncrediblesII The Attack of The Underminer

In the last series our friends were Mr.Incredibles also known as Bob, Elasticgirl also known as Helen, Dash, Violet, and Jack defeat Syndrome. Now Our friends have something much more important to worry about. As our friends were coming back from Dash's race, they saw something very unusual. A robotic fireman on a drill. Now that's something you don't see everyday. The weird thing called himself The Underminer. The family put on their supersuits and the duel began. Then Mr.Incredibles's old friend Frozone came to help. The Underminer started with some violent lasers. The laser almost got Frozone, but he got away in the nick of the time. The beams got Mr.Incredibles and Elasticgirl but Violet, Dash, and Frozone were still there. The Underminer tried to get Violet but she used her force field and made an huge explosion. Dash came speeding and confused the Underminer. Frozone used his ice but the Underminer broke through it. Elasticgirl picked up a lampost and threw it at the strong Underminer. Next Elasticgirl wrapped the Underminer. Mr.Incredibles threw a car at the huge thing and then gave it a few punches. Mr.Incredibles didn't know why the Underminer wasn't getting destroyed. Then he remembred when he threw the car he threw it at the tip of the drill. When he did that the Underminer seemed to get hurt. He then figured it all. The Underminer had a weak point! Why didn't he think of that before? Mr.Incredibles took another car. Next he told everyone to get out of the way. He threw the car with strenth and BA-CHOOM. The Underminer almost collapsed! The Underminer said"we will meet again" in anger. The friends defeated the Underminer but this was not the end. It was just the begining. Everyone went home at the end. The Incredibles family ate supper and went to sleep. Bob was the only one awake. Someone in an island named Slypher wanted him to come to the island to see how strong he was. You see this man was actully Syndrome's brother and wanted revenge on Mr.Incredibles. The next day Bob told Helen that he was leaving for a buisness trip. "Not another buisness trip". Helen sighed. "Well I'm sorry" Bob said. Bob got in his car and went to the airport. He saw Slypher and walked towards him. "you look similiar to someone I've seen but who" said Bob. "So you're Slypher" said Bob. "Yup I'm Slypher" said Slypher. Bob and Slypher got in Slypher jet plane. They travled to an island in the middle of nowhere. "Where exactly are we" asked Bob. "You'll see" said Slypher. Slypher dropped Bob in the forest down below. Bob got in his suit and was ready for action. He looked for the monster. He ran and ran. He looked and looked. Finally he saw an X. "This must be it" said Mr.Incredibles. Suddenly a huge monster appeared roaring and grunting. The monster had sharp claws, A long spiky tail, and massive arms. The creature kind of looked like a dinosaur. "I'm ready for action" Mr.Incredibles said. The monster hit our hero a few times with its tail. Mr.Incredibles punched and kicked the monster sevral times. The monster picked up Mr.Incredibles and threw him against a boulder. Then the monster made vines come out behind its shoulders. The vines grabbed Mr.Incredibles and squeezed him. Then Elasticgirl came out of nowhere. "I knew this was not a real buisness trip" she said. Meanwhile at the Incredibles house Dash and Violet kept moaning they wish they could've come with their mom. The kids were staying back at the house with a baby-sitter named Cory. During the duel Elasticgirl threw her arms around the monster. The monster got free and started to attack again. Mr. Incredibles punched the monster on his face. That hurt it alot. "So this monster has a weak point too" said Mr.Incredibles. He took a tree and started hitting the monster on its face. The monster finally fainted. Then Slypher invited Mr.Incredibbles over for dinner. Mr.Incredibles thought Slyther acted like someone he knew. Back at the house Dash had an idea. "If mom wants us to be safe we can be safe" said Dash. "You can do force field Violet while I run on water" He said. "I don't think thats a good idea" Violet said. "Of course its safe" Dash said. Dash looked an the internet where Mr. and Mrs.Incredibles were. Dash and Violet told Cory that they were going for a sleepover for a few days. Dash and Violet went to the ocean and started to go. Dash ran and ran. Violet kept her force field up. Finally they got to the island. They started to look. Elasticgirl saw Violet and Dash. She said "Violet Dash over here"! "Mom Dad"! said Violet. "I told you not to follow us" said Elasticgirl. "Well who cares" said Mr.Incredibles. They went all the the way to Slypher's territory. "Well you've brought your whole family" said Slypher. "This just gets better and better" Slypher said. After dinner Slypher gave the Incredibles their own room. "Oh cool"! said Dash turning on the TV. Bob and Helen went out on the Balcony to use some fresh air. Violet was reading a magzine. After a while the Incredibles got bored. Bob suggested to leave. He thought this was only to test how strong he was. The family walked over to Slypher. Bob said"we're leaving.I thought this was just to see how strong I was". He said bye. The Incredibles family walked out but at the last moment they got pushed back and were stuck on a machine. "This was a trick" Slypher said. Slypher said" I just wanted to get revenge on you for killing my brother Syndrome. "So that's who I was remembering, Syndrome" said Bob. Slypher just walked out of the room. "How will we get out of here"? said Elasticgirl? Mr.Incredibles just sighed. Suddenly all of Mr.Incredibles family members faded! "What just happeneed?" said Mr.Incredibles very puzzled. "Those were just clones" said a voice. It was Slypher. He said Mr.Incredible's real family was captured." "You little pest",said Mr.Incredibles. In a flash Slypher left. Then Mr.Incredibles saw something. It was Slypher's belt! Then Mr.Incredibles saw the control panel. Mr.Incredibles spit as hard as he could. That pushed down a button. That let Mr.Incredibles free! "Its showtime" said Mr.Incredibles as he took Slypher's belt. Then he ran as fast as he could. A few minutes later he saw a tracking device. He took it and typed his family. Luckily he followed the device and found his real family. He opened the cage and let them free. Mr.Incredibles found a jet and raced it back to his hometown. When he got to his hometown he saw a terrible sight. The Underminer was back and looked stronger than ever. Mr.Incredibles started fighting it. He threw a car at its drill but nothing happened. The Underminer had a new weakpoint! Mr.Incredibles tried everything but it seemed of no use. Finally Mr.Incredibles picked up a huge building and threw it at the Underminer's top. It went flying back faster than a jet plane! Suddenly Frozone came and froze the Underminer's top. That collapsed the Underminer. The good guys won! Suddenly Mr.Incredibles felt a sharp pain in his shoulders. It was Slypher. But before he knew it Slypher was flying and landed in the water. Our hero gave him a knuckle sandwich!Mr.Incredibles had saved the day. Mr.Incredibles and his family went home happy to be supers.

Snowy Day

One day I woke up at 7'o clock. I looked outside like I usually do. This time I looked outside the weather was different. Not at all the same. Today it was snowing! I quickly brushed my teeth and went downstairs for breakfast. I had tasty pancakes loaded with syrup. After I was done with my yummy breakfast I went upstairs to take a bath. My bath was quick and warm. When I was done with my soothing bath I wore warm clothes. I wore warm mittens,a confy jacket,a big cozy hat,and finally my favorite boots. I went downstairs and told my mom I was going to play outside in the sparkly white snow. I walked outside and took some materials with me if I wanted to build a snowman. I first lay flat on the cold ground and made snow angels. After snow angels I wanted to build a snowman. I first got one big ball of snow,a smaller one and one more that was even smaller. Second I put biggest snowball to smallest. Next I got two rasins for the eyes and stuck them to the top of the first snowball. Then I got a carrot for the nose and stuck them to the middle of the first snowball of the snowman. After that I got lots of rasins and put them at the bottom of the first snowball on the snowman. Later I put two buttons on each of the leftover snowballs. To make the snowman look cute I added a scarf and a hat. My snowman was finished! After my snowman,I saw a weird thing on the ground. I wonderd what it was. Then I heard a bird. I watched the bird carefully. When it walked the same weird thing on the ground being made by the bird. Woohoo! Then I knew exactly what the weird thing on the ground was. It was a squirrel's footprint. I wanted to go sleding so I got my sled. I went to the top of a hill. I got on my sled and WHOOSH off I went. After the sled ride,the snowman,and the footprints I was beat. I went inside and my nice mom gave me refreshing warm hot chocolate. Finally I took a long nap.

Fossils

How do we know about dinosaurs and plants? The answer is in fossils. Fossils are what is left of animal or plant, but turned to stone. This is how fossils are made. First the animal that is dead falls to the bottom of a lake. Next the animals skin gets eaten by probably bacteria. Years and years pass. The animal gets covered with layers of mud. Soon the animal turns into stone and becomes a fossil. Fossils are usally found by people called paleontologists. Paleontologists are people that find and study fossils. But the falling into lakes is not the only way fossils can be made. Sometimes mammoths or other animals from the Ice Age are frozen whole. That means animals from the Ice Age can freeze to death and still be found in their animal form. The only thing that has changed is that the creature can not move. Amber is also a thing that can make fossils. This is how it works. First a creature gets on a tree. Then sticky sap on a tree(amber) catches the animal and traps it inside the amber. Millions of years pass. The creature inside the amber will stay there forever. The amber hardens and tuns into a kind of fossil. Amber can be used for jewlery. Paleontologists use tools to help them get the fossils. The tools are picks, shovels,hammers,and brooms. When paleontologists try to get the fossil,they have to be very careful not to damage it. Putting the bones together is the hard part. Paleontologists have made many mistakes when they try to put the bones together. For example,once they thought a thumb claw on a Iguanodon's hand was a horn on its nose. Less than 200 years ago people did not know what dinosaurs were. They thought they were bones of a elephant. Fossils are great discoveries. They are still being found today. Someday you might be a great paleontologist.

Elliot the Elephant

There once was an elephant called Elliot. Elliot was a good elephant, except for one thing.That was his nose. Everyone made fun of his nose because it was very long. Elliot tried not to be sad but so many people made fun of him which bothered him a lot. There was only one animal that didn't make fun of him... Giraffe. One day Elliot went to Giraffe's house. Giraffe's mother told Elliot that when she was young, everyone made fun of her because she had a long neck, but she just ignored. The next day, Elliot went to school, and everyone made fun of him again. Elliot tried what Giraffe's mother did. He just ignored. When Elliot went home, his parents told him that everyone called them names when they were young. Elliot dreamed that nobody made fun of him. When he woke up, it was Saturday so he didn't have to go to school. Elliot got dressed and had breakfast. Elliot took a walk to get some fresh air. Then a boy started laughing at him. Then a whole group of children started laughing at him. A little kid saw what was happening. She felt bad for Elliot. She told everyone to stop laughing at Elliot. Everyone said"why do we have to listen to a little kid like you?" The little child replied"what if someone laughed at you because you had long ears, noses,or arms or any other problem?" The big children just walked away. Elliot thanked the little kid for her help. Just then people crowed together. Elliot went to see what they were all looking at. Somebody was stuck in a tree! Giraffe wasn't there so he couldn't reach the child. It was up to Elliot to save the small child. His long nose went up to the tree. Elliot grabbed the child and got him down. Everyone cheered and said they were sorry they called him names. Elliot was a hero!

I’m Scared of the Dark

I don’t know why but I’m scared of the dark. Every time I go upstairs I think that a monster will eat me up--even though I know it’s not true. I wish this fear will stop but it just won’t. Every day when I go to sleep I just can’t. I hope no one will figure my fear. If anyone finds out that I’m scared of the dark everyone will make fun of me. My parents don’t buy me a nightlight because it won’t do any good and my parents think that I’m old enough. They are going to tell me how they overcame their fear when they were young so I can use their ways to overcome my fear. Uh-oh I got a field trip form that we are going into a cave. I have to overcome my fear now. I’ll try to practice. Ok first my mom and dad have to come in my room. Now I have to get in my room. My mom and dad have to turn my lights off now. Ahh! I just can’t do it. The field trip is tomorrow. What shall I do? I guess I’m just going to have to live with it. Now I’m going to pack for tomorrow. First I will put a flashlight for tomorrow. Second I will put my homework in my backpack. Third I’m going to put my lunch in my backpack. Now I’m going to sleep. Today is the big day. First I get ready. Next I eat breakfast. Now I get in my car. First I’ll put my seatbelt on. DROOM DROOM! Okay now I get in my class line. Next the teacher will ask us if any of us have to use the restroom. Now we will get into the bus. Finally we get to the cave. First I will turn my flashlight on. EEKS! We are actually walking in a real cave. Ahh a monster! Phew that’s not a monster it’s a stalactite. Whoa bats. Oh-no! My flashlight battery is low! My flashlight battery is gone! I guess I’m going to have to walk through a cave without a flashlight. Cool are those fossils on the walls? My teacher said that we could only pick one rock from the ground. I chose a shiny one. Finally we are out of the cave. At last I’m safe at home, in the dark.
